I've eaten a lot of barbecue in the US and elsewhere, and this place is at the top of my list. Delicious meats and unbelievable portions. One plate is literally enough to feed a whole family. The restaurant is always busy, so the staff can sometimes be impatient. But if you come here expecting a no-frills, hole-in-the-wall barbecue joint, you won't be disappointed.

Okay so let me say the food is good and the serving is a generous size however this is why I have an issue. My co-worker and I went in there and wanted to eat lunch. We looked through the menu and knew their serving sizes were too big for either of us to finish, even the half order. So we decided we would get one half order and split it. When the waitress came and we gave her our order, she told us that we couldn't do that. That we needed to each order our own half order. Excuse me? Since when do you tell customers what to order? No thanks. That alone was a major turn off and I won't be going there again.

If your craving rotisserie chicken with rice and fries then this is a good place to stop in. It's a definite staple on Ferry St, the platters are huge as you can see in the pic. Come Hungry I'm NOT Kidding!🤤 (Unless your taking it home)

I'm a big fan of portugese barbecue. Thus is my favorite go to place. There are quite a few of these places all throughout Newark but this by far is my favorite. The food is actually tasty I have no problem recommending to any and everyone! Enjoy!!

Pros 1. Beef ribs was delicious. 2. The BBQ chicken was delicious. 3. The staff is friendly. Cons 1. The entrance to the rest room was not designed for people 6 feet tall or above. Make sure you duck. Lol 2. The rice needs more flavor.
